The Deity of Jesus Christ – Ecclesiastes and Isaiah

From Solomon to Isaiah, from Moses to John, the message is clear: Jesus is God. Here is something from Solomon in Ecclesiastes.

Ecclesiastes 11:14, Revealer of mysteries. “For God will bring each work into judgment, with each mysterious thing, whether it be great, or whether it be detestable.” (11:14) The revealer and judge of each confidential. Helps me to remember something Paul said about Jesus: (Romans 2:16) “God will pass judgment on the mysteries of men by Jesus Christ as indicated by my Gospel.” Everything that “God” is seen doing or being “distant from everyone else” in the Old Testament, He is seen doing or being in relationship with one called Jesus in the New. What a solidarity!

Furthermore, from Isaiah the prophet, many such words coordinate with a New Testament partner.

2:2-4, Lord of the New Jerusalem. What a valuable review of occasions is given by Isaiah in his second part, sections 2-4: “…the heap of the Lord’s home will be laid out in the highest point of the mountains…and all countries will stream unto it…and …individuals will say, Come ye, let us go up to the pile of the Lord, to the place of the God of Jacob…for out of Zion will go forward the law, and the expression of the Lord from Jerusalem.”But where could Jesus in all of this be? Whenever John sees this last City in Revelation 21, he initially is told , “The sanctuary of God is with men…and God Himself will be with them…”(v. 3) So far, a similar situation as Isaiah. An area in a City, with God as its head. Be that as it may, closer examine, sections 22-23. There is no sanctuary. Why? Since “The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its sanctuary.” There is no sun. Why? “For the greatness of God…and the Lamb” ease up it

You’ve heard maybe of the ” parallelism.” It’s an approach Cannon Law Idaho to expressing two things however meaning just one. Thomas didn’t intend to say there were two people before Him when he shouted to Jesus, “My Lord and My God!””God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” is another. God and Father here are a similar individual, not two. I recommend that the main way “The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb” can check out is to think of them as a similar individual. I have effectively shown that “All-powerful God” is a title worn by Jesus! What’s more, we realize Jesus is the Lamb. Something awesome here!

7:14, Immanuel. The Name says everything. Isaiah 7:14, brilliant stanza of the Old Testament, “Observe a virgin will consider, and bear a child, and will call out to Him, Immanuel.” Brother Matthew, in relating the satisfaction of the prescience in the introduction of Jesus (1:23) proceeds to add the significance of the Name: “God with us.” Now, how better would God be able to let us know who this Jesus is?

9:6, Father and Son. I surmise this is my top choice of the assertions of Scripture with respect to the Deity of Jesus Christ. Peruse cautiously: “For unto us a kid is conceived, unto us a child is given: and the public authority will be upon his shoulder: and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.”(9:6) I can scarcely stand it! Time to move in the walkways. Time to cheer in our spirits, however the cerebrum has been managed another bend. This valuable Baby, Jesus, is the Son. Yet, such that I trust is becoming more clear through the perusing of the Scriptures I have gathered, He is additionally the Father! End of conversation.

41:4, First and Last. “…I, the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am He.” says God.And,these are the actual expressions of our Jesus: “Dread not; I am the first and the last.” (Revelation 1:17)

41:14, Redeemer. “…I will help you, saith the Lord, and thy Redeemer…” But we have generally looked to Jesus as our Redeemer, Galatians 3:13, “Christ hath reclaimed us from the scourge of the law…” Indeed! The chorale in Heaven applauds the Lamb Who “recovered us to God by Thy blood.”So here is God, reclaiming us to Himself. We actually need to see two People here, however our disarray comes since God turned into a Man. That Man is the one we see and know, since He is one of us. However, we should continually keep the eyes of the soul open to seeing all that He is. He’s one of that other race, as well. The race known as the “Godhead.”
